My request relates to the 2009 report published by Health Protection Scotland (HPS) titled ‘Incineration of Waste and Reported Human Health Effects’ (‘the 2009 report’) which is available at this webpage - https://www.hps.scot.nhs.uk/a-to-z-of-topics/incineration/
I would be grateful if you could please confirm as follows:
1) Has HPS carried out any further reviews of the human health effects relating to the incineration of waste since the publication of the 2009 report?
If any further reviews have been carried out since that date, please provide me with copies of all of the documents which were produced as part of any such reviews.
2) Does HPS’ position on the health impacts of the incineration of waste remain as stated in the bullet points which are set out on this webpage - https://www.hps.scot.nhs.uk/web-resources-container/incineration-of-waste-and-reported-human-health-effects/ .
If HPS’ position has changed, please clarify HPS’ current position on the health impacts of the incineration of waste.
