I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for the financial year 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
This information is requested to support understanding of community optometry service delivery, enhanced service activity, workforce planning, and NHS service development across Scotland.
Please provide the following information at practice level.
General Ophthalmic Services (GOS)
Number of GOS1 NHS primary eye examinations.
Number of GOS1 supplementary examinations.
Breakdown of supplementary examinations by reason code.
Number of GOS3 vouchers issued, broken down by voucher type.
Number of domiciliary NHS sight tests and domiciliary fee claims.
Enhanced Services
Number of Community Glaucoma Service (CGS) claims submitted by each practice, including associated claim type and fee category
Number of General Ophthalmic Supplementary Services (GOSSS/GOS-SS) claims submitted by each practice, including associated claim type, fee category, and condition code where recorded.
Pre-registration Activity - we are aware that you may not have a full year's data for this, please indicate when this data collection begun.
Number of NHS sight test claims submitted by each practice that were flagged as undertaken by a pre-registrant (student) under supervision.
