“Please provide the following information in relation to hip replacement (total hip arthroplasty) procedures within Scotland:
1.Waiting Times
- The minimum waiting time for patients who have received hip replacement surgery within the most recent 12-month period.
- The average (mean) waiting time for patients who have received hip replacement surgery within the same period.
- Please also provide the figures requested in (a) and (b) for the previous two 12-month periods, by way of comparison.
2.Current Waiting List
1.The total number of patients currently on the waiting list for hip replacement surgery at the date of your response (or the most recent available date).
2.The total number of patients on the waiting list for hip replacement surgery at a similar period in 2025 and 2024.
3.Patients Leaving the Waiting List for Private Treatment
- The number of patients who have been removed from the waiting list for hip replacement surgery within the most recent 12-month period where the reason recorded was that the patient chose to undergo private treatment.
- If this information is not centrally recorded, please provide any available proxy data or explain how such removals are categorised.”
