Request
To ask for statistics on the number of readmissions to hospital within 28 days of mental health patients in the past five years, broken down by year and health board.
The statistics were referred to on p18 (p19 if you're on PDF) of this report - https://www.publichealthscotland.scot/media/12835/pr_2022-04-26-qipmh-full-report.pdf
It states: "The percentage of emergency readmissions within 28 days in Scotland was 8.4 per cent for both the year long period ending 30 September 2021 and the year ending 30 September 2020. This compares with 7.5 per cent for the year ending 30 September 2019."
It continues that the data was sourced using "Discovery", but the link to that only takes you to a general website where in-depth statistics aren't accessible to the general public.
