The Scottish Government has announced that from Monday 1 February, people aged 70 and over will begin to get their COVID-19 vaccines. The Government expects that those aged 70 to 79 and people who are clinically extremely vulnerable – including over-16s on the shielding list – will have received their first dose by mid-February. They also expect the programme for first doses for care home residents, frontline health and social care workers and those aged 80 and over to be complete by 5 February.
