The four UK countries have developed COVID-19 guidance for IPC in all health and care settings (external website).
Some differences from the UK COVID-19 IPC remobilisation guidance exist for Scotland. These were approved following consultation with NHS boards, key national and local stakeholders. They were approved by the Scottish Government's COVID-19 Nosocomial Review Group.
Where there are differences from UK IPC guidance, Scottish COVID-19 addendums were produced to provide Scottish context.
Mandatory Scottish addendums
These addendums are mandatory for use in Scotland. They are available on the National Infection Prevention and Control Manual website. They are the:
- addendum for acute settings (external website)
- addendum for care home settings (external website)
- addendum for community health and care settings (external website)
Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland will continue to update guidance as new evidence emerges. Always check that you are using the latest version.
