2. Procurement
This dimension helps organisations assess how they use purchasing, contracts and supplier relationships to increase local economic benefit and deliver social value.
'Procurement' focuses on how organisations can:
- monitor and analyse local spending
- support local small and medium-sized enterprises, social enterprises, cooperatives and employee-owned businesses to bid for work
- engage local suppliers about contract opportunities and requirements
- identify and address gaps in local supply chains
- apply community benefit goals, Fair Work First and wider social, health and environmental criteria through procurement
- monitor whether social value commitments are delivered

To assess your organisation against this dimension, download the progression tracker and full Anchors Progression Framework.
Organisations planning to use the Anchors Progression Framework are encouraged to contact the team by emailing PHS.anchors@phs.scot.
This will help Public Health Scotland understand how the framework is being used and identify any further support or improvements.
