3. Environment, sustainability and assets
This dimension helps organisations assess how they use their environmental policies, resources, buildings, land and assets to reduce harm, support sustainability and benefit local communities.
'Environment, sustainability and assets' focuses on how organisations can:
- respond to the climate emergency and reduce emissions
- develop strong environmental policies and environmental management systems
- use energy, resources and renewables more effectively
- reduce waste, pollution and unnecessary plastic use
- improve transport, buildings, infrastructure, greenspace and biodiversity
- increase community use of land, buildings and assets

To assess your organisation against this dimension, download the progression tracker and full Anchors Progression Framework.
Organisations planning to use the Anchors Progression Framework are encouraged to contact the team by emailing PHS.anchors@phs.scot.
This will help Public Health Scotland understand how the framework is being used and identify any further support or improvements.
