Updates

All forthcoming outputs will be published at 09:30am unless otherwise stated.

As of 31 January 2023 PHS has been publishing A&E data in a new format and includes monthly demographic data and data on patterns of attendance, previously published annually. Additional information on Source of Referral/Discharge Destination, and Multiple attendances will be added to the new web pages early May. The new format of publishing data will initially run in parallel with ongoing weekly/monthly publications. The parallel running of both formats will be phased with the intention to switch to the new format in May this year. Should you have any feedback or enquiries relating to this new format of publication, please contact phs. unscheduledcare@phs. scot or complete the feedback form in the new web pages.

From week commencing 16 January 2023 PHS will no longer pre-announce the Hospital onset COVID-19 cases in Scotland report. This will be available at: https://www.hps.scot.nhs.uk/web-resources-container/arhai-scotland-forthcoming-publications/

The report will be published on the NSS website Publications | National Services Scotland (nhs.scot)

Public reporting of hospital onset COVID-19 is being paused due to the decreasing number of cases and to support NHS boards by reducing the data burden on local Infection Prevention and Control Teams. The last publication of the Hospital onset COVID-19 cases in Scotland report from ARHAI Scotland was 1 March 2023.

The DAISy Treatment report publication pre-announced for 28 March 2023 has been rescheduled to June 2023 in order to undertake further data quality and completeness analysis.

The Mental Health Inpatient Activity publication due for release on 13 December 2022 has been rescheduled to 28 March 2023 due to new analysis necessary, based on stakeholder intelligence needs, and resource issues.

Scottish Cervical Screening Programme Statistics - Whenever possible, PHS aims to share forthcoming publication dates so that our stakeholders are aware of upcoming activity. Occasionally these dates require revising as a result of unforeseen capacity issues regarding personnel, competing projects or technical issues. On this occasion, the cervical screening report, scheduled for 22 November 2022, has been delayed until May 2023.

Prescribing Statistics - Monthly Prescribing Activity Data scheduled for 11 April 2023 has been delayed until 18 April 2023 due to changes in team capacity.

Primary Care: In-hours General Practice activity visualisation scheduled for 28 March 2023 has been delayed until 11 April 2023 due to data quality assurance.
