Improving Lives? Monitoring the impacts on health and health inequalities of post-2010 Welfare Reform and economic change in Scotland preannounced for the 26 March 2024 has been further delayed to 14 May 2024 due to resource issues.
Viral Respiratory Diseases (including Influenza and COVID-19) in Scotland Surveillance Report - Public Health Scotland (PHS) continue to consider timely ways to provide the public with official statistics. Between 28 March and 3 October 2024, PHS has moved to dashboard only updates for respiratory infection and COVID-19 surveillance on a weekly basis and are reducing the frequency of the accompanying narrative report to monthly. This approach aligns to the pre-pandemic one for respiratory pathogens, which typically follow a seasonal pattern. PHS will continue to monitor COVID-19 and other respiratory infection levels and reinstate the weekly narrative report before September 2024 if necessary.
Vaping Related Hospital Admissions - This publication, preannounced for release on 25 July and then November 2023, will focus on hospital admissions where ICD-10 code U0.70 has been recorded as a primary or secondary diagnosis. To enable further analyses this publication will be delayed January 2024. ** This has been further delayed to August 2024 for the same reason.
