Description
Minimum standards and quality indicators are intended to support the delivery of person-centred, safe, effective, equitable and evidence-based care.
They provide a framework by which critical care services can:
- assure patients and the public of consistent, high-quality provision
- identify and reduce unwarranted variation
- benchmark performance nationally
- drive local and national improvement initiatives
