This quarterly release by Public Health Scotland (PHS) contains data on prescribing activity in the community in an open data format. The latest quarter available is July to September 2025.
Further information
Open Data files enable independent analysis of prescribing and dispensing activity in the community. Information is shown for items prescribed at GP Practices (which make up the majority of prescriptions), Dental Practices, Hospital Wards and Community Pharmacy Contractors and the number of those items dispensed at different community pharmacies.
Uses of this data include the analysis of prescribing and dispensing patterns by geography.
