    Systems-based approaches are increasingly being used when responding to complex public health issues such as reducing inactivity and increasing population levels of physical activity. A systems-based approach involves applying systems thinking, methods and practice to better understand public health challenges and identify collective actions. This report provides a pragmatic systems-based approach to physical activity that can be applied strategically at a national and local level.

    This is an addendum to our 2022 report on the impact of Minimum Unit Pricing (MUP) of alcohol in Scotland on cross-border purchasing. This paper describes updated data collected in March 2022 by putting survey questions about self-reported cross-border and online purchasing to a panel. Data were first collected in March 2021 and those were described in the main report.

    This report captures the views expressed by participants at an online workshop that took place on 6 October 2022. The workshop aimed to draw on the knowledge and experience of a range of stakeholders who were asked for their feedback on the way the MUP evaluation had been completed. The PHS evaluation team will use these responses to inform final decisions on how they bring together the evidence collected through the MUP evaluation studies.

It focused on women, LGBTQ+, youths, migrant health and mental health in homelessness, bringing together a coalition of partners to focus on the issues affecting the health and wellbeing of those who are experiencing homelessness.
