This report is the final report from the PHS evaluation of minimum unit pricing for alcohol in Scotland. It brings together the evidence produced by the studies in the PHS evaluation portfolio, plus other published studies, to describe the impact of MUP in Scotland.

This briefing was developed by Public Health Scotland, Adaptation Scotland and the Improvement Service. It aims to increase awareness of how climate change and adaptation responses can affect health and health inequalities. It also decribes public health principles that could help to achieve climate resilience, health and equity.

Climate change directly and indirectly harms health and wellbeing, widening existing inequalities. Climate action is an opportunity to deliver co-benefits for population health, wellbeing and equity. This document sets out 41 high-level actions across three focus areas that PHS will take from 2023 through to 2026. These actions aim to place population health, wellbeing and equity at the heart of climate action and embed climate action in all PHS’s work to improve and protect population health and reduce inequalities.
