Contacting Public Health Scotland

You can use these pages to get in touch with us. Please ensure you use the correct method of contact to avoid any delay in us coming back to you.

Things we can't help you with

We do not provide any healthcare direct to the public, nor do we have any oversight over other NHS Scotland boards.

COVID-19

Health advice for the public on COVID-19, including social distancing, isolation, and quarantine is available at www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus (external website).

For non-health related advice on COVID-19 please visit the Scottish Government (external website).

For all general COVID-19 vaccine-related enquiries call 0800 030 8013 (available 9am-6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturday) or visit www.nhsinform.scot/covid19vaccine (external website).

We have developed a range of COVID-19 vaccine information resources for professionals. These are available on our COVID-19 vaccinations pages.

Health information

We are unable to provide clinical advice to members of the public. Please contact your GP, NHS 111 or visit the NHS inform website (external website).

Health protection

If your enquiry is about a local health protection or infection control issue you should contact your local NHS board's health protection team. To find out which NHS board covers your local area, visit Scotland's Health on the Web (external website).

Environmental health

For local environmental health problems, for example environmental hazards, damp housing, noise nuisance, waste disposal or pest control please contact your local authority environmental health department. To find out which council covers your local area, visit the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) (external website).
